Data processed by the site
When you load a page, the server and Cloudflare receive technical information needed to deliver content and protect the service. SIExpo’s server-side statistics record IP address, approximate country from Cloudflare, date and time, requested page, site search, category, referral source, UTM campaign, language and User-Agent, used to identify the browser, operating system and device type.
Arbitrary URL parameters, passwords and submitted form contents are not stored in analytics. Referrer URLs are stored without query parameters or fragments. An IP address and approximate location do not establish a visitor’s identity; multiple people can share one address.

Why we use this information
Technical information supports site operation and security, error diagnosis and understanding which topics interest readers. Processing for these purposes relies on the legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the publication, while taking visitors’ rights into account. Correspondence is used to respond to the specific enquiry. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Retention and access
Records in SIExpo’s analytics database are retained for up to 90 days and are automatically pruned. Access is restricted to the authenticated editorial administrator. This period applies to site analytics; infrastructure logs, backups and providers’ records are separate systems.
Email correspondence is retained as needed to handle the enquiry and meet applicable legal obligations or resolve a dispute. The 90-day visits retention period does not automatically apply to correspondence.
Cookies and automation
Public pages do not add analytics or advertising cookies, external tracking scripts or device fingerprint identifiers. The administration panel uses the necessary SIE_SESSION cookie to protect login and actions, with a lifetime of up to eight hours. It is not used for advertising.
Editorial automation prepares news articles and illustrations. Visit statistics are not used for automated decisions with legal effects on readers.
Providers and external links
The site uses hosting in London and Cloudflare for DNS, content delivery and protection. Images are delivered through Cloudflare R2 at images.siexpo.bg. Requests to these services include technical connection information; infrastructure may process data outside the European Economic Area. Details of Cloudflare’s processing appear in its privacy policy.
IP addresses in the administration panel link to our IPTrack system for further lookup. An address is sent to IPTrack only when the administrator opens that link; visiting SIExpo does not automatically send it there. Social and source links are ordinary links: the corresponding service opens when you click and applies its own rules.
Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to processing and exercise portability where applicable. Email [email protected] with the subject “GDPR Request · SIExpo”. Describe your request and provide enough context to locate the relevant records. We may request proportionate verification without collecting unnecessary information.
You may complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection. The European Commission provides further information about your rights.
